Position SummaryWe are seeking a Financial Data Integration Specialist with strong knowledge of accounting systems and SQL expertise to serve as a technical liaison between our development team, customers, and accounting platforms. This role focuses on ensuring seamless data exchange between our internal financial systems and external accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online and NetSuite.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Integration Support
- Facilitate data exchange between internal financial systems and accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite)
- Map data fields and structures between disparate systems to ensure accurate data transfer
- Troubleshoot data synchronization issues and identify root causes of integration failures
- Validate data integrity during import/export processes and reconcile discrepancies
Developer Support
- Collaborate with development team on API integrations with accounting systems
- Provide technical guidance on accounting system data structures, requirements, and constraints
- Review integration specifications and test data flows to ensure compliance with accounting system standards
- Document data mapping requirements and integration workflows for development implementation
Customer Support
- Assist customers with data migration to and from accounting systems
- Explain data requirements, formatting standards, and best practices for accounting system integrations
- Troubleshoot customer-reported data issues related to accounting system connections
- Create documentation and training materials for customers on data exchange processes
Data Analysis & Quality Assurance
- Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze financial data for integration purposes
- Perform data validation and quality checks on financial datasets before transfer
- Generate reports comparing internal financial data with accounting system data
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies between systems
- Overall 10+ years of experience in IT industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience working with QuickBooks Online and NetSuite or similar accounting platform
- Strong understanding of accounting system data structures, workflows, and limitations
- Advanced SQL scripting skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Experience supporting technical teams or customers with data integration issues
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (GL structure, AR/AP, revenue recognition)
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Experience with accounting system APIs (NetSuite QuickBooks API)
- Knowledge of additional accounting platforms (Sage, Xero, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data transformation tools
- Background in customer-facing technical support roles
- Deep understanding of QuickBooks Online and NetSuite data models and objects
- Expert SQL skills across various database platforms
- Proficiency with data mapping and transformation concepts
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, similar)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
