Builds Power BI dashboards, semantic models, data pipelines, and financial reporting solutions using DAX, Power Query, SQL, and Microsoft Fabric. Performs financial analysis, three-statement modeling, valuation analysis, and investor reporting. Owns BI engagements from requirements gathering through QA and stakeholder iteration, while documenting governance and data models. Works directly with clients to translate business needs into technical deliverables.
Data Analytics & Power BI
•Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for client-facing management information and investor reporting packs
•Build and maintain data models in Power BI, including DAX measures and Power Query (M) transformations
•Develop and manage semantic models, dataflows, and lakehouses within Microsoft Fabric to support scalable, governed reporting
•Design data pipelines to extract, clean, and transform data from client source systems (ERP, SIS/ management systems, general ledgers, etc.) into reporting-ready structures
•Write SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation
•Own the end-to-end BI workstream for the client engagement — requirements gathering, data modeling, dashboard build, QA, and iteration based on client feedback
•Document data models, refresh schedules, and governance/access controls for client dashboards
Financial Analysis & Modeling
•Conduct financial analysis and prepare three-statement models
•Prepare equity trading comparables, precedent transaction analysis, and other valuation support analytics
•Automate recurring management information and investor reporting packs using Excel and Power BI in combination
•Assist in preparing management or investment presentations, information memorandums, and business plans
General
•Comply with IT policies and procedures and maintain security of client information at all times
•Work directly with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables
Requirements
Must Have
• 1–3+ years of hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards, including DAX and Power Query
• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and transformation
• Strong finance fundamentals — ability to analyse financial statements and annual reports
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to prepare a three-statement financial model
• Ability to conduct secondary research independently
• Strong communication skills — comfortable presenting data models and dashboards directly to client stakeholders
• A team player with strong analytical rigor and attention to detail
Nice-to-have
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric (semantic models, dataflows, lakehouse architecture)
•Experience with data from education-sector, ERP, or school-management systems
•Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification
Qualification-
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Preferably CFA Level 1 (or progress toward it)
• Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification is an advantage
