Over the years, we have grown our expertise and technology, including the Cyclone CC system, to help industries reduce carbon emissions more efficiently. In the next phase of our growth, we are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support the continuous improvement and development of our ERP solution and the integrity of financial reporting across our India and US operations while working closely with financial teams in the UK to ensure consistency and continuous improvement of reporting systems and processes.

The Role

The Financial Accountant will own the completeness and accuracy of India and the US financial reporting, month-end control processes, working capital management, cash administration and tax compliance acting, working closely while supporting the wider Finance Controller and UK finance teams.

Responsibilities consist of but are not limited to...

Completion of Reporting Processes (IN & US)

• Maintain accurate and complete books of account to defined standards, in line with the group's accounting policies, structured to enable optimal performance reporting.
• Ensure adherence to all financial reporting deadlines across the group.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Process sales and purchase entries in ERP.
• Support preparation of India's statutory reporting requirements and audit procedures.

Month-End Control Processes

• Manage capital expenditure and fixed asset accounting.
• Control intercompany transactions.
• Process month-end manual adjustments, including review of accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare detailed analysis of general & administrative expenditure to support forecasting.

• Working Capital Administration
• Ensure appropriate authorisations for all purchases.
• Review aging of receivables and assist with recovery of outstanding receivables.
• Process sales and purchase invoices.

• Cash Administration & Management
• Manage banking transactions (NEFT, RTGS, cheque payments, petty cash) and perform month-end bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and coordinate foreign currency payments (A1 and A2).
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and plan forward currency needs.

• Tax Compliance
• Manage tax compliance in conjunction with external advisers (payroll taxes, sales taxes, corporation/income taxes, withholding taxes).
• Calculate monthly TDS and GST liabilities and ensure timely payments.
• Assist with filing monthly returns (TDS, GST, and others as applicable).
• Ensure timely submissions and scrutinise expenses for policy alignment.
• Act as key point of contact for Indian employee finance queries, particularly timesheets and expenses.
• Provide support to the Finance Controller – India as required.
• Support ad-hoc projects as required.

You are an ideal candidate if…

• You are a Qualified Financial Accountant with strong technical knowledge.
• You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• A Master's degree is a plus, though not essential.
• You have strong working knowledge of GST, including the relevant acts and provisions.
• Experience with SAP is preferable, but not essential.
• You bring high motivation, energy, and drive to make things happen and grow.
• You understand how your own performance contributes to departmental and company objectives.
• You can solve problems independently, without needing close guidance or supervision.
• You show strong innovation and a drive to continuously improve processes, handling ambiguity with confidence.
• You strive to do the right thing — defending sound principles and policies.
• You take pride in delivering high-quality, accurate, and timely information, with close attention to detail.
• You build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels through open, confident communication.
• You're inquisitive and curious, always looking for ways to improve how things are done.
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• You're proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of oil & gas, steel, cement, and/or chemicals is a plus, though not essential.
