The Finance Technology Specialist will support and maintain finance applications, assist in system implementation, provide documentation and training for users, and manage project documentation and testing. They will also coordinate with vendors and finance departments to ensure smooth upgrades and enhancements.
Application Support Analyst
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support, administration and maintenance of existing finance systems including Workday Financials, RevPort and Essbase
- Assist and support ongoing implementation of new finance systems and services
- Providing documentation, troubleshooting and training to staff in existing applications
- Test and implement system configuration changes, upgrades, new functionality and business reports relevant to finance
- Coordinate with finance application vendors, the IT and Finance departments and others parties to implement upgrades, releases and enhancements as well as communicate any changes to relevant users
- Provide technical support to the users globally either in person or via telephone, teleconference or e-mail.
- Support and comply with the corporate strategies, plans and policies, development initiatives
- Project Management including the creation of project and test plans and documenting business requirements
Education and Experience
- Must have 5+ years’ experience in Finance and application support
- Experience with architecture, design and implementation of services with Workday Financials.
- Strong financial process experience is desired (ideally a finance qualification or equivalent)
- Experience administrating IT systems in a financial services role subject to IT controls, which are heavily audited.
- Project management experience implementing or upgrading software, systems or services
- Advanced Microsoft skills in Excel and Outlook
- Good communication and business skills
- Familiarity with any of the following Finance Applications a plus: RevPort & Essbase
- Experience with SQL or similar a plus. If no experience, then an ability/interest in learning basic SQL skills
- Additional experience with Workday HCM an advantage.
