JOB PURPOSE

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and passionate Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst to join the Finance Excellence Team (FET) team. The role will support the FET Manager in driving Performance Management, P&L scenario analysis and preparing relevant reports that provide strategic insights and inform high impact financial decisions. It contributes to the effectiveness of the financial planning cycles and of the governance process for investments. If this is what you are looking for, then this role is just for you!
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Planning and Forecasting:
Intensely drive the Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) process quarterly
Enforce S&OP and forecasting timetable across ALL East & West Africa (EWA) markets
Lead Cash up of S&OP outcomes, ensuring timely closure of the same
Collate and review the inputs received from various stakeholders
Perform variance analysis S&OP vs previous S&OP to check for errors and make sure major drivers are understood
Compile a list of risks and opportunities from every market to support the FET manager to calculate a contingency for the region
Maintain list of assumptions used for S&OP
Lead the Financial FC submission for East Africa and EWA countries as assigned
Ad-hoc P&L scenario analysis and reporting as required
Key Stakeholders: EWA GM, EWA Head of Finance, Country GMs, Commercial Finance leads, Supply Chain Finance lead
Role in Month end:
Be the primary lead on the Month end process and be accountable for meeting all quality and time criteria for this task.
Coordinating various stakeholders, including offshore Uniops team to ensure Month End activities are performed on time, all variances are clearly investigated and documented in line with the reporting standards.
Ensuring submission of MEC related reports to global and Uniops on time and of good quality.
Responsible to present Month / Quarter results to in country teams and ensure appropriate sign-offs
Performance Review and analytics
Support FET manager to lead a performance review with different Leadership teams
Ad-hoc analysis and reports to drive business performance
Support in preparing Targets and tracking Actuals vs the targets, including identifying interventions needed to mitigate any risks & opportunities.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Professional Finance qualification equivalent to CPA Finalist, CIMA or ACCA
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Reporting, Commercial Finance or similar roles.
Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups within a multinational or multi-country organisation set up.
Should be able to demonstrate significant understanding of the P&L construct, key drivers across different lines and ability to influence business performance.
Experience with data analytics, or data visualisation tools (Power BI etc)
Skills
Mastery and excellence in usage of Excel and any key ERP (SAP preferred).
Good communication and presentation skills
