What will you contribute:

As an Expert Network Engineer, you will manage and troubleshoot Azure cloud environments, including vNets, UDRs, NSGs, and ALBs. Your role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining network and data communications equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN concentrators. You will monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and ensure synchronization between Production and DR environments. Additionally, you will provide tier 2 support, maintain technical documentation, and participate in project teams to implement detailed plans. Occasional on-call duties and travel may be required.

Your deliverables & responsibilities:

  • Understand the various concepts of Azure cloud environments like vNets, UDRs, NSG, ALBs, and be able to configure and troubleshoot all levels of the same using Microsoft-provided tools and interfaces.

  • Install, configure, monitor and manage all network and data communications equipment including all hubs, routers/switches, intrusion detection systems, VPN concentrators, load balancers, SDWAN connections, and firewalls.

  • Provide ongoing monitoring of all networks and data communications facilities using approved network management tools and including monitoring access to Telecommunication carriers and managing the connection equipment.

  • Perform regular capacity planning to ensure network performance will meet anticipated requirements, monitor capacity, and work with carriers to adjust capacity as needed.

  • Responsible for internet access including installing, configuring, maintaining routers and firewalls, configuring routing protocols, and monitoring performance of the same.

  • Troubleshoot all network problems; open issues in the Problem and Change Management databases, record resolution; provide tier 2 support; ensure all issues are resolved as per published service levels or escalate as necessary.

  • Provide maintenance to the equipment as required.

  • Maintain all technical configuration documents and review/update processes and procedures, and maintain appropriate documentation.

  • Provide weekly updates of work activity to the Manager, Network Operations and/or Director of Network Operations

  • Participate on project teams working with all Infrastructure teams or Network Engineers/Architects; take high level plans developed by engineers/architects and develop a detailed plan broken down by task for implementation.

  • Work with internal and external customers to convert requirements into actionable change requests for implementation.

  • Occasional On call 24 duties; on occasion will have to be at the office outside of normal working hours; occasional travel may be necessary.

  • Develop and keep current a personal professional education plan with the assistance of your supervisor/manager.

  • Maintain synchronization in network infrastructure between Production & DR environments for payments products, ensure changes /configurations implemented in Production are simultaneously implemented in DR environment.

  • SOP creation as per Industry best standards for week long True Failovers from Network perspective, ensuring Customer can run their business seamlessly from DR environment for a week.

Required Skills & Experience:

Must Have : 9+Yrs

  • Hands on experience of Cloud networking principals in Azure

  • Functional knowledge of networking and data communication fundamentals including Ethernet and routing protocols (TCP/IP, Routing Protocols, etc)

  • Functional knowledge of SDWan

  • Functional knowledge of internetworking standards

  • Functional knowledge of network management tools

  • Knowledge of OSI protocol model

Good to Have:

  • Cisco certification a bonus

  • Python/Java/scripting skillsets is a plus.
