Oversee the Machine Breakdown Team, manage maintenance practices, ensure safety compliance, handle emergency situations, and prepare reports on equipment breakdowns.
Key responsibilities
- Handling the Machine Breakdown Team, implementing maintenance practices to achieve optimum equipment availability with minimum downtime while adhering strictly to safety standards
- Issue job sheet, work permit check the tool box after risk assessment Arranging and implementing preventive maintenance schedule.
- Ensure safety, risk assessment and at the same time respond promptly and positively to reported hazards
- Investigate reports after a damage and check for safety parameters after the job is completed
- Instruct team and delegate to ensure in case there are more than one breakdowns it can be addressed simultaneously
- Knowledge about handling emergencies situations and prevent damage of equipment
- Monitor the critical areas such as Fire pump, Sub Station, AC Unit
- Prepare MIS to report on all breakdowns in the shift and take steps to reduce the same, attend the daily QRM (quick review meeting).
- All EM (emergency maintenance) breakdowns upload to Software-Maximo and all PM/CM (preventive & corrective maintenance) workorders to be closed with the assigned timeline. PM compliance should be more than 90%
- Regularly conduct mock drills as mentioned in the emergency response plans and manage emergencies including all injuries, all contractors and work related issues
- To scrutinize and approve spares and stores requisitions
- To share daily shift report on daily shift basis.
- Knowledge of LEAN & KAIZEN.
