ABOUT Treasury/Chief Investment Office
T/CIO Global Operations is part of the Treasury/Chief Investment Office (T/CIO) which is responsible for firm wide asset and liability management including:

  • Aggregating and managing the firm's structural interest rate risk, primarily through a global investment portfolio.
  • Managing the firm's funding and liabilities, including both long term debt and short term cash deployment.
  • Aggregating, managing and reporting the firm's liquidity risk.
  • Aggregating and managing the firm's structural foreign exchange risk.
  • Managing the end to end risk weighted assets and capital process


ABOUT Execution Middle Office:
The Execution Middle Office is tasked with transaction analysis, P&L and risk reporting, and project support for the T/CIO desks, which execute transactions and manage resulting positions to meet business mandate. In this role, you will ensure strong support and control within a dynamic business environment. As business and regulatory initiatives continue to evolve, your responsibilities will encompass daily processes and the support of strategic business initiatives. You will work closely with Portfolio Managers to understand business drivers and support requirements, collaborating with teams in settlements, finance controls, product controls, market risk, and technology.
Key Responsibilities :
Overview: The Executive Director for Global Recs and APAC PC Lead is responsible for overseeing P&L and Risk reporting and global recs and controls processes based out of Mumbai. This role requires a strategic leader who can ensure robust controls, drive process improvements, and contribute to global initiatives.
APAC Product Control (PC) Responsibilities:

  • P&L and Risk Reporting: Oversee daily P&L and risk processes, ensuring accurate reporting and effective market risk controls.
  • New Business Support: Facilitate new product onboarding by defining workflows and advising on booking strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Address ad hoc requests and collaborate with various teams to maintain robust P&L and risk controls.
  • Compliance and Controls: Contribute to compliance with control frameworks like SOX and Business Control Committees.


Global Reconciliations Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation Management: Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations across systems, managing issues and maintaining data integrity.
  • Data Oversight: Monitor corporate data feeds and oversee system reconciliations for accuracy.
  • Reporting and Automation: Publish metrics and drive automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Technology Integration: Support new business flows with technology solutions and conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Procedure Development: Create and maintain procedures, ensuring comprehensive training and coverage.
  • Long-Term Reconciliations Strategy: Lead the end-to-end development and execution of the reconciliations strategy from inception to completion.


Management Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements for efficiency and control enhancements.
  • Collaborative Initiatives: Work with stakeholders on routine and strategic projects, including global risk management and reporting enhancements.


Qualifications/Key Skill-Sets

  • Experience: 15+ years in Middle Office, Market Risk, Finance, or Product Control, with experience managing teams of 15-20 people.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and teamwork skills, fostering a culture of discipline and accountability.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent skills in building and maintaining relationships with global stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in handling complex workflows and cross-asset products.
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business operations and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Communication: Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Product Knowledge: Expertise in Fixed Income, Treasury, FX, and Interest Derivatives.
  • Process Understanding: Comprehensive knowledge of transaction cycles and operational controls.
  • Focus on Transformation initiatives: Interest in process improvement, automation, and system enhancement using new age tools and analytics like Tableau, Alteryx etc.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage high-pressure situations and ad hoc requests.
  • Certifications: CFA, CA, or FRM is a plus
  • Technical Skills: Ability to use data to craft compelling narratives and insights; PowerPoint skills are a plus
