As Senior Manager/Director of Engineering, you'll lead a high-performing engineering team building the next generation of our AI-powered data platform. You'll drive technical excellence while scaling our engineering organization to support rapid growth. You'll balance hands-on technical leadership with people management, ensuring your team delivers scalable, resilient systems that power AI agents and critical supply chain intelligence for global enterprises.

What You Will Do
- Lead High-Performance Teams: Manage and grow a team of 6-10 engineers across full-stack, backend, and data engineering disciplines, fostering career development and technical excellence.
- Drive Product Delivery: Partner closely with product managers and architects to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, ensuring on-time delivery of critical platform features.
- Scale Engineering Practices: Establish and evolve engineering processes, code review standards, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines that support rapid, reliable deployment cycles.
- Champion Technical Excellence: Collaborate with architects to implement best practices for cloud-native, AI-enabled systems while maintaining hands-on involvement in critical technical decisions.
- Build for AI at Scale: Guide your team in developing systems that integrate machine learning models, support massive data ingestion, and enable real-time intelligence across global supply chains.
- Ensure System Reliability: Drive initiatives focused on observability, performance optimization, and enterprise-grade reliability as we scale across international markets.
- Recruit and Retain Talent: Lead hiring efforts to build a diverse, world-class engineering team while creating an environment where engineers thrive and grow.
- Foster Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with data science, product, and customer success teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of customer value.
What You Will Bring
- Engineering Leadership Experience: 12+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in engineering management, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software environments.
- Technical Depth: Strong hands-on experience with modern tech stack including Java/Python, cloud platforms (preferably Azure), microservices architecture, and data engineering pipelines.
- AI/ML Platform Experience: Experience managing teams building AI-enabled products or data platforms. Understanding of ML model integration, agent frameworks, and large-scale data processing.
- Enterprise Software Expertise: Knowledge of building compliant, secure, multi-tenant systems that serve enterprise customers at scale.
- People Leadership: Proven track record of building, mentoring, and scaling engineering teams. Experience with performance management, career development, and creating inclusive team environments.
- Product Mindset: Strong collaboration skills with product managers and designers, with experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Process Excellence: Experience implementing agile methodologies, establishing engineering best practices, and driving continuous improvement in team productivity.
- Growth Mindset: Comfort operating in a fast-paced, hypergrowth environment with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and scale challenges.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
