What your day-to-day will look like:
- Design and develop scalable and secure RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement data exchange mechanisms between systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Optimize API performance and troubleshoot integration issues.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews.
- Maintain and enhance existing integration solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards.
- Create technical documentation for APIs and integration workflows.
What you’ll need to excel:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and JSON/XML.
- Experience with API gateways, authentication protocols (OAuth2), and error handling.
- Familiarity with system integration patterns (e.g., messaging, ETL, webhooks).
- Knowledge of Oracle database
- Experience with version control systems (SVN and Git).
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Knowledge of transportation, logistics planning, scheduling concepts and general transportation management
It’d be great if you also have:
- Understanding and experience with Oracle Weblogic application server.
- Experience with other popular Java development frameworks
- Experience with use of various automation tools/plug-ins to boost productivity
- Experience with Agile development
- Other useful technologies: Basic Linux proficiency, JavaScript
- Experience in logistics and/or transportation management, business analysis and customer relations
