At Future Metals, we are a leading supplier of aerospace-quality metals and other materials to the global aircraft manufacturing and maintenance industry. We operate from 12 strategically located service centers in North America, The United Kingdom, Europe, and Asia. We hold significant long-term contracts with leading OEMs and their subcontractors around the world, the size and scope of which allow us to obtain highly dependable products and delivery, as well as favorable pricing terms from our network of world-class producers.

Position Summary: The Division Manager - India is responsible for driving revenue growth and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with local regulations and labor laws. This role involves strategic planning (40%) and tactical execution (60%) while leading sales, operations, and customer service teams to achieve Future Metals’ strategic goals.

Business & Financial Leadership

  • Full P&L ownership for the Indian division, ensuring revenue growth and cost control.
  • Align the India strategy with global objectives, particularly for OEM partnerships and local Indian supply chain partners.
  • Develop forecasting models, inventory planning, and pricing strategies tailored to the Indian aerospace market.
  • Work closely with suppliers and customers to manage working capital and negotiate LTAs (Long-Term Agreements).

Operations & Supply Chain

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with Indian labor laws.
  • Optimize warehouse operations by implementing lean processes, automation, and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with GST regulations, B.I.S regulations, duty free trade zone regulations, import/export laws, and supplier management best practices.
  • Lead EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) initiatives to maintain workplace safety.

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive organic growth by expanding into new aerospace customer segments (OEMs, Tier 1s, and MROs).
  • Build strategic B2B relationships with aerospace companies and suppliers in India.
  • Represent Future Metals in industry forums, trade shows, and customer engagements.
  • Implement value-added services such as tube bending, kitting, and just-in-time inventory solutions.
  • Travel up to 40%

Talent Management & Compliance

  • Manage and develop a team of ~9 employees, ensuring retention, engagement, and training.
  • Implement India-specific HR policies, including statutory benefits (PF, ESI, Gratuity).
  • Foster a performance-driven culture aligned with Future Metals' global vision.
  • Work with HR to ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and employee contracts.

Qualifications And Competencies:

  • 7-15 years of experience in Distribution, Metals, Aerospace or Manufacturing industry in a mixture of sales AND operational roles 
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience (of direct reports) 
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred  
  • Distribution Experience preferred 
  • Metals and/or Aerospace experience is a plus
