Director, Travel & Expense Management

 
We're seeking someone to join our team as a Travel & Expense Program Insights Lead to establish and continuously improve an integrated management information framework across Travel, Ground Transport, and Expense, delivering accurate, actionable insights for governance, operational oversight, vendor performance, compliance, and leadership decision-making.

This is a Director level position within the Travel & Expense Management team.

What you'll do in the role:

·        Design and maintain a standardized management information framework across Travel, Ground Transport, and Expense, including reporting cadence, data ownership, validation checkpoints, escalation protocols, and consistent KPI definitions.

·        Consolidate, validate, reconcile, and analyze data from internal systems, vendor reports, billing files, expense data, and operational trackers, maintaining a reliable single source of truth.

·        Develop monthly and quarterly executive dashboards covering volumes, cost, utilization, compliance, service quality, safety, vendor performance, exceptions, ageing items, root causes, and required decisions.

·        Deliver actionable program insights across air, hotel, visa and travel support; GT route and fleet performance, billing and operational escalations; and expense ageing, rejected claims, policy exceptions, outliers, and audit observations.

·        Identify and implement automation and process-improvement opportunities that strengthen data quality, visualization, analytical depth, reporting reliability, and turnaround time.

·        Partner with Travel, Ground Transport, Expense, Finance, Sourcing, Compliance, technology, and vendor teams; support business, vendor, audit, and leadership reviews; and maintain action, follow-up, and closure reporting.

What you'll bring to the role:

·        Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or relevant certification is preferred.

·        At least seven years of experience in management information, business analytics, reporting governance, or operational and financial controls, ideally within a global financial institution or shared-services environment.

·        Demonstrated experience designing enterprise MIS frameworks, executive dashboards, KPIs, SLAs, reconciliations, data controls, exception management, and multi-source reporting.

·        Advanced Excel and business-intelligence capability, with experience in data visualization, workflow automation, AI-enabled reporting, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis.

·        Strong commercial and analytical judgment, with the ability to translate cost, volume, utilization, billing, compliance, safety, and vendor-performance data into clear recommendations.

·        Executive-level communication, presentation, stakeholder-influencing, planning, prioritization, and team-leadership skills; relevant exposure to travel, ground transport, expense, vendor billing, audit, or financial governance is preferred.
