Role OverviewWe are looking for a creative and culturally aware Content Writer to develop engaging, humorous, and lifestyle-driven scripts for social media video formats such as Reels, Shorts, and YouTube. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of storytelling, satire, and cultural trends, with the ability to connect with Gen Z and millennial audiences.
Key Responsibilities- Develop original and relatable content ideas tailored for social-first video platforms.
- Write sharp, entertaining, and trend-led scripts rooted in everyday life and observations.
- Blend humor, storytelling, and cultural insight to create impactful content.
- Collaborate with directors, editors, and creators for seamless execution.
- Monitor pop culture, internet trends, and audience behaviors to keep content relevant.
- Proven experience as a comedy, lifestyle, or content writer within digital-first brands.
- Strong understanding of Gen Z and millennial culture, tone, and preferences.
- Ability to write across multiple formats such as dialogues, monologues, sketches, and scripts.
- Excellent creative writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative in team environments.
- Experience writing for creators, YouTube, Instagram Reels, or social-first platforms.
- Exposure to influencer-driven or lifestyle/e-commerce brands.
- Awareness of emerging cultural conversations and digital humor trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in content/script writing for digital or video-first platforms.
- Strong portfolio showcasing short-form storytelling or humor-based content.
