The Role: Director- Design
As a design Director, you will be setting the vision, process, direction and own design execution for a multidisciplinary team of Product Designers. In this role, you will be thinking big to focus on the long-term strategy and plan for the product. You will make sure that the design function is well integrated within the product development process and is not an afterthought.
What You’ll Own
Lead Design Vision & Strategy: Define and drive design strategy aligned with business and product goals.
Team Leadership: Mentor, guide, and grow a team of product designers, while being hands-on with critical projects.
Design Systems: Build and scale design systems that ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency across platforms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, marketing, compliance, and growth teams to deliver seamless experiences.
User-Centric Impact: Translate research and insights into delightful, intuitive, and accessible design solutions.
Measure & Iterate: Define KPIs, monitor design performance, and continuously refine for greater impact.
Who You Are
10+ years of design experience with 3+ years in a leadership or design lead role.
Strong portfolio showcasing impactful work in consumer tech, fintech, or high-growth products.
Proficient in tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and familiar with design systems.A balance of creative vision and practical execution — you understand users, business, and brand.
Excellent at communication, mentoring, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
Excellent understanding of design principles, user-centred design methodologies, and industry-specific compliance and security standards.
