The Director, DBS, Automation and Performance Partnership, Asia Pacific for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics will be an integral member of the APAC Leadership team who will be responsible for driving and executive the overall APAC growth strategy in Automation and Performance Partnership as well as excel the country strategic WITS initiatives. He/She will also be handling the automation product portfolio to drive marketing initiatives and product life cycle management. This role will also be involved in the acquisition of country targeted top accounts through spearheading account strategy development, supporting and/or coaching on workflow analysis and development of innovative tools and methodologies to enable customer needs discovery. Also, this role will be responsibility of DBS for APAC; Design and execute the DBS road map and build DBS capability in APAC. It is including leads APAC growth initiatives, pilot programs, and regional rollouts; based on results, makes, recommends, and implements adjustments and modifications.
This position is part of the Asia Pacific Commercial Management Team located in Malaysia/Singapore/Thailand, and directly report to the Vice President of APAC Commercial Management. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Automation projects and workflow:
- Monitoring of market intelligence, market trends, customer needs and developments in the diagnostic area, related to automation and informatics solutions. Establish and build deep understanding of account needs, stakeholders, and competitive situation
- Leading APAC or country automation STRAT planning and drive flawless execution and focus on selective strategic initiatives that help capture market share and supports the Growth in Automation.
- Develop and execute region and/or country specific strategies and commercialization plan to promote “Bringing the benefit of automation to all”. Adopt the tools to enhance regional workflow capabilities, work closely with sales leadership in winning large automation opportunities and manage regional WITS product portfolio growth KPI
DBS / Projects
- Overall responsibility of DBS for APAC; Design and execute the DBS road map and build DBS capability in APAC. Leads APAC growth initiatives, pilot programs, and regional rollouts; based on results, makes, recommends, and implements adjustments and modifications
Performance Partnership
- Leads strategic planning, development and execution of highly differentiated customer and sales force training initiatives in the area of operational efficiency and value added programs. This role will conceptualize and deliver powerful case studies and ROI analysis of Performance Partnership engagements. Responsible for driving global growth through increased customer base retention, new account acquisition and direct monetization of Performance Partnership activities.
- Leads the development and execution of differentiated professional education programs by developing customized training resources and online offerings in the area of continuous improvement and value added programs, including the creation of specialized training videos, materials and tools.
- Develops promotional strategy and tools to actively grow the enrollment and utilization of these programs by customers. Plans and executes strategic rollout of the differentiated professional education programs in Global markets in alignment with Customer DBS team readiness and expansion plans. Customizes content for Global customer and sales force consumption, including translations and content modifications to address different Global markets.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business or life sciences technical field, MBA preferred, with 20 years of work experience in the medical device, healthcare or life science research industry. And at least 10 years of successfully building and leading and engaging a large commercial organization
- Substantial experience within a fast-growing, complex business arena as General Manager with P&L responsibility in APAC;
- Demonstrated strong strategic and analytical skills as well as solid business acumen, experience in profit and loss management and growth achievements;
- Ability to interface with and lead within a complex regional commercial team to achieve maximum results;
- Shown successful record in sales/marketing leadership and staff management, while functioning in a fast paced, action-oriented environment
LANGUAGE CAPABILITY: English, and any local language would be a plus
TRAVEL: Estimated 50% of the time. No constraints on travel within APAC region
