The role involves managing social media communication, executing digital campaigns, tracking trends, and collaborating with teams and agencies for Star Plus shows.
We are looking for a digital-native marketer who lives and breathes social media and truly understands consumers on Instagram, Facebook and emerging platforms. You’ll work closely with the Star Plus marketing team to shape social media communication for shows, write copy, guide creatives, and drive digital-first campaign execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day social media communication for Star Plus shows (copy, creatives, posts, reels, etc.)
- Drive digital campaign planning and execution with internal teams and external agencies
- Manage always-on social media content and ensure cultural and brand tonality
- Track social/content trends and proactively integrate them into platform strategy
- Provide qualitative creative feedback (visuals, captions, hooks, edits)
- Support influencer and talent-driven content initiatives
- Work with media and digital partners to drive campaign reach and performance
- Edit, review and refine social content based on trends and platform performance
What we’re looking for
- 4–5 years of experience handling social media mandates
- Experience with consumer-facing brands or digital/creative agencies
- Strong creative instincts—ability to write and think socially
- Comfort working at the pace and creative rigour of Star Plus
- Very strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook and short-form content culture
Nice to have
- Familiarity with entertainment content / pop culture
- Experience with digital performance, optimization, platform dashboards
- Experience working with talent/influencers is a plus
Education
- Graduate or Postgraduate preferred (Marketing/Communications/Media)
