SailPoint is seeking a highly motivated Digital Analyst to join our growing Digital Marketing team! As the Marketing team's expert on web analytics, the Digital Analyst plays a critical role in enabling data-driven Marketing decision making. The Digital Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and scalable instrumentation, analyzing, and interpreting reports, and enabling data accessibility to optimize Marketing's impact on the growth of the business.  

 

As an integral member of the Digital Marketing team, the Digital Analyst will support the continuous improvement of paid media and website efficiency while also collaborating across the Marketing organization to enable a culture of experimentation and optimization. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Insights  

  • Support the Digital Marketing team with data analysis, report creation, and recommendations to drive CRO, Paid Media and SEO program improvements 

  • Proactively identify and present opportunities for leveraging data to maximize digital performance and enable user journeys 

  • Combine analytical expertise with knowledge of the business to provide valuable perspective, storytelling, and insights that influence Marketing decision making  

Enablement  

  • Drive reporting automation, data visualization, and process documentation to support accessibility and consistency of marketing-wide digital reporting  

  • Provide training and support to empower marketing team members to leverage data and experimentation in their roles  

  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Marketing Operations to enable attribution accuracy and full-funnel reporting 

Maintenance  

  • Serve as the organization's expert on Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager, driving effective tagging and tracking implementations  

  • Rigorously complete scheduled testing and QA to ensure ongoing data cleanliness and accuracy  

  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot reporting anomalies and inconsistencies to ensure the utmost data integrity  

Evolution  

  • Drive continuous improvement of web analytics platform, including implementation of best practices and advancement of reporting capabilities to align with business needs  

  • Develop timeline, scope, and business case for transition to enterprise web analytics solution (GA360)  

  • Proactively learn about the latest web analytics and reporting technologies and best practices to maintain a world-class digital analytics function 

 

Requirements 

  • 3+ years of experience in web analytics implementation and data analysis 

  • Deep understanding of Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager implementation and reporting best practices 

  • Proven track record of leveraging data, analytics, and insights to drive business impact 

  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing funnels and KPIs 

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker Studio and Tableau 

  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and how they work together (SEM, SEO, CRO, Social, Display, etc.) 

  • Experience analyzing data from a variety of different sources (quantitative and qualitative), and using data for storytelling 

  • Excellent communication and strong collaboration skills 

  • Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset 

 

Preferred 

  • BA/BS in marketing, business, economics, or equivalent quantitative discipline 

  • Previous work experience in a B2B SaaS company 

  • JavaScript and HTML knowledge 

What success looks like

  • 30 Days:
    • Complete onboarding and become familiar with SailPoint's digital marketing tools and processes.
    • Gain a thorough understanding of current web analytics setup, including Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager.
    • Begin initial analysis of existing data and reports to identify key areas for improvement.
    • Understand the key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics relevant to the role.  
    • Establish relationships with team members, agency partners and key stakeholders.
  • 60 Days:
    • Start providing regular data analysis and reporting to support CRO, Paid Media, and SEO program improvements.
    • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement quick wins for data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
    • Conduct training sessions for marketing team members on leveraging data and experimentation in their roles.
    • Take ownership of regular reporting and data analysis tasks.
  • 90 Days:
    • Take ownership of the web analytics platform, ensuring accurate tagging and tracking implementations.
    • Develop and present insights and recommendations to influence marketing decision-making.
    • Begin driving reporting automation and data visualization projects to enhance accessibility and consistency.
    • Continuously improve data collection and analysis processes.
       
  • 180 Days:
    • Lead the continuous improvement of the web analytics platform, implementing best practices and advancing reporting capabilities.
    • Develop a comprehensive business case and timeline for transitioning to an enterprise web analytics solution (GA360).
    • Establish a culture of data-driven decision-making and experimentation within the marketing team, ensuring ongoing optimization and growth.
    • Demonstrate measurable impact on the company's digital performance through your analyses.
