We are looking for a Job Profile Operational Engineer II:

Job Summary
The CSG Assure team develops advanced telecom testing software solutions used by mobile operators across the globe, including leading operators like AT&T, Tata, Orange.

CSG Assure is an artificial test traffic generation platform consisting of a central cloud-based application and a test network of over 1 000 test probes in 200 countries simulating mobile users globally.

We are seeking a dynamic professional to lead the critical function of test network management and operations. This leadership role ensures operational excellence in maintaining a high-quality test environment for our mobile operator customers.

You will be leading a team of test network support analysts who monitor and manage the network of test probes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily Operations in CSG's VMware Virtualization environment.
• Lead private cloud modernization projects to transform traditional infrastructure into automated, resilient, and cloud-native platforms.
• Architect, design, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting enterprise-scale applications.
• Drive adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for provisioning and configuration management.
• Implement containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) to modernize workloads.
• Enhance monitoring, observability, and incident response frameworks (Zabbix, SCOM, Graylog, ELK stacks).
• Optimize private cloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure) for scalability and performance.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance in cloud operations.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to align modernization strategy with enterprise goals.
• Mentor and coach DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to Agile/DevOps adoption across teams and influence best practices. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of DevOps / SRE / Cloud Engineering experience with good knowledge in VMware Virtualization administration.

Required skills:

• Good knowledge in VMware Virtualization Operations.
• Deep expertise in private and public cloud platforms (VMware vSphere, AWS EC2).
• Proven experience in CI/CD design and automation (Jenkins, Azure Devops, Puppet, Chef).
• Proficiency in scripting/programming (Bash, Ruby, Python, Perl, JavaScript, and PowerShell).
• Expertise with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift).Strong knowledge of networking, storage, and security in private/hybrid cloud environments.
• Demonstrated experience in modernizing legacy systems into cloud-native or containerized platforms.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to translate business goals into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability.
• Optional / Preferred Skillset (AI & Automation)
• Exposure to AI/ML-driven automation for cloud operations (AIOps).
• Experience with AI-assisted monitoring, anomaly detection, or predictive analytics to improve system reliability.
• Familiarity with integrating AI/ML pipelines into CI/CD workflows (e.g., deploying ML models in production).
• Awareness of Generative AI tools to accelerate automation (e.g., script generation, documentation, chat-ops).
