About the Role
JustAnswer’s Engineering team is seeking a skilled Application Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our application infrastructure. You’ll ensure system stability, security, and scalability while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role offers professional growth through retrospective learning from production incidents and exploring generative AI applications to enhance your work.
What You’ll Do
- Manage applications on Microsoft Azure and Hyper-V.
- Support Rocky 9 Linux and DNS servers.
- Monitor performance with Dynatrace; manage SSL certificates.
- Collaborate on app security and optimize performance.
- Ensure uptime for production and enterprise environments.
- Provide technical support and ensure compliance.
- Implement DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, AI, and automation.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5-7 years in application engineering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Azure, Server, Hyper-V, and Rocky 9 Linux.
- Experience with Dynatrace, DNS, and domain certificates.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routers, firewalls, and VLANs.
- Skilled in automation (PowerShell, Bash) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Microsoft DevOps.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Contribute to future application infrastructure strategy.
Good to Have
- Experience with Jenkins, Zabbix, Redis, MS SQL, and NoSQL (Elastic Search).
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing and EMC SAN hardware.
- Skilled in MS Active Directory Certificate Services and AI in Application Engineering.
