Job Summary:
Infios is looking for an experienced Development Manager to lead a high‑performing team of software developers and quality engineers. This dual-role position requires strong technical expertise in Java along with proven team leadership skills. The ideal candidate will mentor developers, oversee software delivery, ensure code quality, and align the team’s output with organizational goals.
What a day in the life looks like:
Technical Leadership
- Provide hands-on guidance in Java development, code quality, architecture, and best practices.
- Review design documents, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Support developers in resolving complex technical challenges across Java, APIs, and web technologies.
Team Management & Mentorship
- Manage and mentor a team of software developers and QA engineers.
- Foster a collaborative, high-morale team culture.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development discussions.
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate training or upskilling programs.
Project & Delivery Oversight
- Collaborate with the Team Lead to plan, prioritize, and track development tasks.
- Ensure timely delivery of high‑quality features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Oversee sprint planning, retrospectives, and Agile ceremonies.
- Drive continuous improvement across development and QA processes.
Quality Assurance Management
- Oversee manual and automated testing strategies.
- Ensure test coverage, performance testing, and QA best practices for web apps and APIs.
- Collaborate with QA teams to maintain high-quality releases.
Communication & Reporting
- Act as the main liaison between offshore and onshore development teams.
- Provide detailed progress updates, metrics, sprint velocity, and quality reports to the Director of Development.
- Coordinate cross-functional discussions and resolve blockers.
Strategic & Process Improvements
- Align development roadmap and sprint goals with product and business priorities.
- Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, code quality, and delivery velocity.
- Evaluate and implement new tools, frameworks, and processes.
What you bring to the team:
- 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience (Java 8+ preferred).
- Proven experience managing or leading technical teams (developers + QA).
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience working with offshore/onshore delivery models.
- Strong proficiency in Java, OOPS, and design patterns .Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices . RESTful API development & integration.
- Experience with React.js (must have as per your note) ,good understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS
