Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, write complex SQL queries, optimize performance, and collaborate with stakeholders while ensuring data quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support business decision-making.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations to prepare data for BI reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and understand reporting needs.
• Optimize performance of Power BI reports and SQL queries for large datasets.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
• Develop ETL pipelines using SQL and/or data integration tools.
• Implement row-level security, user access control, and Power BI service management.
• Stay current with Power BI and data analytics trends, tools, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience in Power BI development, with a strong portfolio of dashboards and visualizations.
• Expert-level knowledge of SQL, including writing optimized queries, stored procedures, and joins.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, star/snowflake schemas, and dimensional modelling.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI Service, Power Query (M language), DAX, and data gateways.
• Experience with performance tuning of Power BI reports and SQL queries.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Azure Data Services, such as Azure SQL Database, Synapse, or Data Factory.
