Job Details
Position Summary
The Front-end Developer III will play a key role in building and scaling the Cencora Design System, which powers consistent, accessible digital experiences across enterprise platforms and products. In this role, you'll develop reusable components, contribute to scalable front-end architecture, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to improve quality, consistency, and development efficiency at scale.
This role is ideal for a front-end developer who is passionate about building shared systems that enable teams to move faster and deliver better user experiences.
What you'll do
  • Component development: Build and maintain reusable, accessible UI components and patterns using modern front-end technologies.

  • Component architecture: Implement scalable component architecture, theming strategies, and design token systems.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with designers, engineers, and product teams to support the adoption of the Cencora Design System and deliver scalable front-end solutions.

  • Accessibility and quality: Ensure components align with accessibility standards, usability best practices, and enterprise quality expectations.

  • Documentation and tooling: Contribute to Storybook documentation, component examples, testing, and front-end development workflows.

  • Performance optimization: Improve component performance, scalability, and developer experience across applications

Basic qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.

  • Experience building reusable UI components or contributing to a design system.

  • Experience building accessible front-end web experiences.

  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with Web Components, React, and related libraries or frameworks.

  • Experience with Storybook and component documentation practices.

  • Experience with CI/CD workflows, automated testing, and modern front-end tooling.

  • Strong understanding of scalable component architecture, theming, and reusable UI patterns.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
