PURPOSE
Fictiv is looking for a Deputy Finance Manager to manage its growing financial, accounting, and tax management needs for its India office which is currently being set up. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure robust internal control, timely transaction handling, and accurate financial reporting.
The Deputy Finance Manager will report to the Finance Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Own Fictiv India’s general ledger and financial reporting.
- Ensure statutory compliance on bookkeeping, reporting, and taxation.
- Cash and foreign exchange management.
- Assist in the optimization of transactional structure and workflow enhancement for local and cross-border accounting and payment processes.
- Prepare, review and manage payroll (will not give that to the person currently).
- Review, approve and pay local vendors.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Advise and enforce corporate policy with local staff.
- Develop and enforce compliance around order fulfillment and processing in our ERP software for customer purchases.
- Responds to inquiries from the main office regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelors in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, Inter CA / Mcom preferred with Income Tax and GST Knowledge. Knowledge on RBI and ROC issues is Plus
Technical Skills and Prior Experience
- Eight to Ten years prior experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Experience working in a product or manufacturing firm and/or multinational company is preferred.
- Experience working with business and tax authorities.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Extremely hands-on and detail-oriented. Strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to grow responsibility with the growth of Fictiv India.
- Proactive self-starter that is able to work independently.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
- Ability to work across time zones (US headquarters located in San Francisco) required.
