ISS STOXX is actively looking for a Techno Functional Quality Assurance Lead to join our Data Management team in Mumbai (Goregaon East).
Overview:
Data Management function is responsible for ensuring accuracy, completeness and reliability of master and reference data about indexes, companies, funds, financial instruments, corporate ownership, financial statements and ratios, and market price and performance. It develops approaches, logic, methodology and business requirements for acquiring, modeling, integrating, mastering, cross-referencing and distributing data. This data is then used in our client-facing data and benchmark platforms, analytics tools and research offerings. The team also develops database testing strategy, scenarios and automated test frameworks. It performs database testing, defines data quality rules, monitors and resolves data quality issues and maintains metadata, user guides and relevant techno-functional documents.
Responsibilities:

Based on the business requirements, define, implement and support a Quality Assurance framework and process relevant to the ISS STOXX market data pipeline. This should cover activities such as migration of marekt data feeds from legacy platforms to new platform (MDMS), changes to market data feeds, end-to-end data flow integrity, new market data feeds and flows, and data delivery to downstream platforms via feeds/APIs

Specification, creation and continuous improvement of tools for comparative and descriptive analysis

Test-staging, test-execution, and review of quality assurance test-cycles within an Agile delivery environment

Partner with cross-functional data stakeholders globally in determining root cause and resolving data quality issues

Manage data QA projects. Ensure the scope, level of effort, cost, strategy, roadmap, milestones, timelines, deliverables, dependencies and success criteria are well-defined and communicated, risks identified and mitigated, and expectations managed and met

Hire, coach and mentor talent

Promote an environment that fosters commitment to rigor, operational excellence, collaboration, and knowledge sharing
Qualification:
-
Bachelors or higher in Information Science/Engineering/Econometrics/Statistics/Physics/ Mathematics

5 to 8 years of experience in structured and automated Data Quality Assessment and controls at scale

Experience in exploratory data analysis, data wrangling and development of analytical tools using SQL, Python and similar technologies

Demonstrable history of Acceptance Test Management in a technology-enabled environment, including defect management, prioritization and resolution

Demonstrable history of implementation of operational process and supporting tooling

Proven experience in software and data testing, with a focus on market-data systems

Proficiency in test management tooling

A good understanding of data and concepts related to capital markets and investment analysis

Strong project management and execution capability
