What will you do? What are we looking for?
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL procedures, packages, triggers, and functions.
- Write efficient Python scripts for data transformation, ETL automation, system integration, and reporting tasks.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in PL/SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and availability across systems.
- Integrate data between systems using Python (e.g., REST APIs, flat files, database connectors).
- Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications in production.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and application developers to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Proficient in Oracle and PostgreSQL database administration, with strong skills in Python for automation, data modeling, and experience using GitLab and Jira for version control and project tracking.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in software development with strong proficiency in PL/SQL and Python.
- Deep understanding of Oracle Database and SQL performance tuning.
- Experience working with large datasets and data manipulation.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with job schedulers and ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Control-M, Informatica).
- Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON/XML data formats.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of data modeling and database design best practices.
