As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. Throughout the day, the engineer collaborates with different stakeholders to ensure the software meets specific business requirements while maintaining scalability and performance. Continuous refinement and enhancement of software elements are key activities, contributing to the delivery of robust and efficient solutions that align with organizational goals.We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and support Autosys environments in a fast-paced, high-demand production setup, catering to global operations. The role spans L1 to L4 support, including monitoring, scheduling, and troubleshooting batch job execution issues, ensuring timely incident resolution, and maintaining accurate reporting and documentation in line with change and audit guidelines. The candidate will be responsible for 24x7 production support, including shifts and weekend coverage, while actively contributing to automation initiatives, self-service tools, and continuous improvement of operational processes. Strong hands-on experience in Autosys, Unix/Linux, SQL/RDBMS (such as MS SQL or Oracle), and scripting (Shell, Perl, or Python) is essential, along with exposure to tools like ServiceNow, Splunk, Grafana, Zabbix, and version control systems like GitLab. Familiarity with CI/CD practices, application and infrastructure support, and multi-platform environments is expected. The ideal candidate should have 3–8 years of experience across mid to senior support levels, possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, communicate effectively with global stakeholders, and demonstrate a self-motivated, flexible, and team-oriented approach with a strong focus on service excellence and continuous learning.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- 3rd and 4th level of handling of Autosys environments catering to Nomura globally.
- Be an independent contributor for engineering, developing and maintaining in-house codebase in Perl, SQL.
- Engineer Frameworks required for use in various Tools development and Web Portals.
- Good Skills in Perl and Python Development.
- Good knowledge about Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Tools – Jenkins, GitLab CI
- Contribute in Automation, by development of automation solutions, tools and Self-Service Portals
- The candidate must be a good team player, highly articulate, and be able to work well in a high pressure and technically challenging environment.
- Operational and Engineering support for the various Automation Tools and Portals 1
- Willing to work in highly demanding production support environment
- Production support involving round the clock dependent activities for global regions and cross teams.
- Identify and document procedures which lead to timely resolution to incidents and problems
- Troubleshooting of all issues related to Autosys and In-House developed codebase. Key Skills:
- Primary Interest in IT infrastructure domain
- Minimum 6-8 years experience in Autosys, Perl and RDBMS development
- Experience in working PL/SQL in RDBMS platforms, preferably MSSQL.
- Strong exposure to working on Linux and Windows Platform.
- Hands-on Perl and Shell Scripting. Python is good to have.
- Experience in Tools such as ServiceNow, CMDB, Splunk, EEM (Embedded Entitlements Manager), GitLab, Ansible, Grafana, etc.
- Ability to work independently as well as working on project teams.
- Develop and Document procedures required for production release of new and enhanced features of scheduling service as well as accompanying operational process documentation required for steady-state service management.
- Fast learner with interest in improving technical knowledge.
- Able to work alone or in a team and both under instruction or to own initiative.
