Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, construction, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking ownership of the development process and serving as the main liaison for project-related communications. The position demands coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that the applications meet the required specifications and function seamlessly within the intended environment. The engineer actively oversees the progress of the project, addresses challenges as they arise, and ensures that deliverables are completed on time and to the expected quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the planning and execution of development activities to meet project goals.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and support their professional growth.
- Facilitate effective communication between cross-functional teams to align objectives and resolve issues.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- Experience in developing and optimizing custom applications within the SAP HANA environment.
- Strong knowledge of database programming and performance tuning specific to SAP HANA.
- Ability to design scalable and maintainable code following best practices in software engineering.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and tools to connect SAP applications with other enterprise systems.
- Competence in debugging, testing, and troubleshooting complex software issues in a timely manner.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
