As a Credit Risk Middle Office Analyst within the Corporate Risk team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the finance sector. You will be part of a team that supports the Wholesale Credit Risk Organization on a global scale, with responsibilities including monitoring limit breaches, maintaining ongoing credit risk client relationships, and resolving operational issues. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your communication skills, understand processes, and exercise independent decision-making. You will also have the chance to collaborate with CRMO leads and stakeholders to help define business cases for process/reporting improvements and see them through to implementation.
Job responsibilities:

  • Developing strong communication skills to effectively influence stakeholders in a meaningful and actionable manner.
  • Providing comprehensive support for Credit Risk Management by performing and overseeing various functions, including line facilitation/maintenance, client data management, limit breach monitoring and investigation, and NAV gathering. This may involve reviewing prospectuses and annual reports, as well as participating in user acceptance testing for technology changes to core business applications.
  • Building a thorough understanding of processes to develop and maintain strong control adherence, including the ability to analyze problems and find solutions.
  • Learning to review key metrics to aid in workflow and SLA adherence.
  • Exercising low to moderate levels of independent decision-making using sound judgment.
  • Collaborating with CRMO leads and stakeholders to help define business cases for process/reporting improvements and see them through to implementation.
  • Demonstrating solid critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions.
  • Raising issues promptly to management and assist in providing sustainable solutions.
  • Participating in initiatives to promote a diverse culture of respect, equity, and inclusion.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in financial services, operations, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of businesses/products offered by major financial institutions and risk disciplines.
  • Ability to identify problems and work with a manager to develop solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter who can work effectively in a multi-tasking role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience with automated solutions such as Alteryx, Python, and UI Path is a plus.
  • Previous experience in Operational or Risk Management, or other control functions is a plus.
