In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Specialist position at Director level within Change, Analytics & Strategy, which is responsible for developing operating and technology strategies, managing and executing transformation initiatives, leading Agile fleet activities, driving innovation, developing analytics solutions and delivering business outcomes.

Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert within functional area, working with Team Manager to manage processes, risks and/or projects, proposing and implementing improvements/changes.

  • Act as key problem solver for area or expertise, applying detailed knowledge to address unique or novel situations, recognize risks and draw out key issues.

  • Coordinate work, train and develop other team members where required, including task allocation, and project contributions.

  • Work closely with product owners to groom product feature backlog items, grounded in onboarding domain knowledge.

  • Manage and execute testing activities across the change lifecycle.

  • Analyze and create test scenarios and scripts for UAT and regression testing, based on functional specifications, business requirements, and real client onboarding use cases.

  • Prepare regular reports and analysis on testing progress, results, and status of deliverables — including SteerCo / SMG-ready updates.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • At least 6+ years of professional experience at a large financial institution, with significant time spent in Client Onboarding, KYC/AML, or Reference Data functions.

  • Ability to lead by example, work with drive and determination, and put forward challenging views to senior levels.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area and operational/compliance policies and procedures of their team.

  • Ability to operate independently across most day-to-day responsibilities.

  • Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values and acting as a role model.

  • Experience in process improvement, business analysis, and project management required.

  • Understanding business analysis approaches and concepts is required.

  • Experience in automation delivery with measurable outcomes (STP %, FTE saved, defect reduction, control uplift) is required.

  • Experience in Agile scrum development as well as Jira is preferred.

  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, RAID logs, swimlane / Gantt views) is required.
