As a Tax Coordinator, you will review exemption certificates, prepare annual reports, assist with VAT/GST returns, and support audits.
As a Tax Coordinator you will review exemption certificates submitted by the branches and assists the branches with remediation of tax certificates deemed invalid. Additional duties include but are not limited to preparing taxing jurisdictional annual reports, business licenses and assists in the monthly sales/use tax return processing.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the local or regional teams in Tax, Accounting, Credit, Accounts Payable and Operations
- Assist with the preparation of VAT/GST returns of about 10 countries
- Assist with the preparation of Withholding Tax returns of a few countries
- Reconcile the tax balances and resolve any reconciling items
- Analyse and implement best practices and internal controls related to indirect tax sensitive processes, such as VAT/GST on entertainment expenses, company cars, reconciliation import VAT to Customs records, documentary evidence for exports and other zero-rated/exempt sales
- Support during Indirect Tax Audits
- Contribute to specific projects such as mergers, ERP transformation, e-Invoicing etc
- Distribute the department mail to appropriate personnel.
- All other tax responsibilities assigned or requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in accountancy or master's in applied economics (Accountancy/Tax) or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience demonstrates strong communication, organisational and analytical skills
