The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for researching and planning content designed to attract links from high quality websites. The Specialist will be familiar with trends and hot topics in education, test prep, and career licensure and will identify content ideas that are new and interesting to prospective linkers. 

 

The contractor will be expected to work during Study.com's Pacific Time business hours Monday - Friday. Additionally, they will need to use their own computer and have reliable access to high-speed internet. 

 

What You'll Do:

  • Research and plan content designed to engage the target audience 
  • Identify interesting topics, monitor trends, and analyze audience interests 
  • Manage content production pipeline, including sourcing subject-matter experts and top-notch writers and reviewers 
  • Write and edit articles 
  • Collaborate with outreach specialists, prospectors, and other content specialists to ensure a smooth pipeline from content creation to links 
  • Use AI to accelerate and innovate on content production processes 
  • Delve into data and insights to develop content around unique, newsworthy perspectives 
  • Research prospects to identify audiences and segments for campaigns; use prospect research to generate winning content ideas 

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Minimum 3 years developing marketing content for link building 
  • SEO expertise 
  • Demonstrated success researching and publishing content that drives links 
  • Familiarity with supportive tools like Ahrefs, SEMRush, Muckrack, and Canva 
  • Experience with education or career licensure domains 
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills 
  • Prior work experience in a remote setting 
  • Deep familiarity with US education system and media interests
