• The General Counsel’s Organization (GCO) & Centralized Supervisory Unit (CSU) team in India, includes the legal, compliance, Supervision functions that support Ameriprise Financial and its subsidiaries. This team work on different aspects of client services.

We are seeking to identify a qualified candidate for Analyst - Privacy in GCO for the Global Privacy Team, intended to work on privacy breach incidents and DLP monitoring. The person is to ensure that client and company are not exposed to higher risk along with any other functions assigned as part of the requirements to meet the larger goal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits and assessment to ensure adherence to data protection laws and internal policies
  • Manage and provide response to data breaches and report to regulatory authorities
  • Provide advice and guidance to the business on data privacy matters and regulatory requirements
  • Stay updated on changes to data protection laws and regulations
  • Ensure all documentation related to data privacy and protection is up to date and compliant with relevant regulations
  • Provide guidance to team members and provide leadership support
  • Any other similar to-dos as part of the larger team.
  • Ensure adherence to agreed service levels and commitments.
  • Manage multiple and changing priorities, expectations and concerns while working closely with the business partners in a focused and responsive manner.
  • Any other role as part of the larger GCO & CSU team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or a professional certification
  • 1-3 years of experience in data privacy compliance preferably within financial service sector
  • Excellent English language skills – both written & spoken.  Candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills as the role involves regular communication with counterparts within and outside the US GCO.
  • Ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving and follow-up skills are essential for this position
  • Moderate to high-level experience in Microsoft Office products (specifically Word and Excel)
