Job Description
Tax Documentation is a global function across locations such as Delaware, San Antonio, Bangalore and Mumbai. The team works in close partnership with Client On-Boarding, Middle Offices, Credit, Legal and Tax Compliance to ensure accurate data is captured in the JP Morgan infrastructure. As part of the CTDO Operational Analytics team, this role will be responsible for reengineering Access databases and creating flows in modernized tools such as Alteryx. They would also be responsible for developing KPIs and OKR, reports and visualizations in dashboards using Tableau.
As a Client Tax Automation Developer Associate in the CTDO Operational Analytics team, you will be responsible for reengineering Access databases, creating flows in modernized tools such as Alteryx, and developing KPIs and OKR, reports, and visualizations in dashboards using Tableau. You will work closely with various stakeholders to gather requirements, document manual reporting procedures, and automate these processes. Your role will also involve maintaining Tableau dashboards and handling complex data sets using Alteryx. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your applications to large audiences and senior management, providing you with a platform to showcase your skills and contribute to our team's success.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Modernize all workflows that reside within Access Database. Pitch different concepts offered by JPMC to management, seek approval, create a project plan and execute the delivery of the new tool
  • Work with management to identify and deliver Analytics and report automation solutions
  • Develop best in class Dashboards/visualizations to generate actionable insights
  • Develop scalable data preparation, maintenance, and reporting procedures that can be leveraged by business units and functional areas across the firm
  • Implement data evaluation techniques aimed at measuring business risks and control issues
  • Develop re-usable tools that can be leveraged by business units across the firm
  • Perform data deep dives as needed using various techniques such as machine learning and text mining.
  • Collaborate with business managers and developers to integrate the results with existing systems
  • Comply with JPMC procedures and QA best practices to ensure the quality of data, models and outputs
  • Stay abreast of new tools and technologies to practice up-to-date data evaluation strategies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to integrate results with existing systems and processes


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Graduate or post graduate in computer science or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of SQL knowledge - demonstrated through active usage of SQL to query and engineer data
  • Strong Visual Basic (VBA) knowledge
  • 3+ years Tableau Analyst Developer experience in a large, matrix structured, mission-critical (preferably financial services) environment. Proven ability to strategically develop complex, highly-visible analytical dashboards from concept through implementation
  • 2+ year's experience leveraging data automation applications and environments (e.g. Xceptor, Alteryx etc)
  • Detailed knowledge and track record of delivery in Tableau Demonstrated ability to effectively manage all facets of the analytical project lifecycle (data exploration, hypothesis testing, code development, testing/validation, model deployment, etc.)
  • Ability to build relationships and leverage subject matter expertise to driving conversations and/or influence decisions/direction with Business and Technology areas. Get-it-done mindset with a strong bias towards action.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into a conceptual analytical and technical architecture Proficient in conducting advanced statistical analyses, working with large data sets. Has demonstrated ability to apply statistical methodologies to identify value add to the business
  • Experience in Tableau / Qlik View / Power BI Development/SQL Queries/VBA/Alteryx Designer/Alteryx Server


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience in Visual Basic (VBA), MS SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop, GIT, JIRA, Confluence, other Big Data Technologies
