The Team: The People & Culture Business Partner team is the face of P&C to our business teams. We support effective and timely communication between P&C domains and business teams and thereby help resolve business challenges. We facilitate a clearer understanding of business with P&C domains and vice versa. We are the 'bridge' between business and P&C. On the other hand, we are also ambassadors of Morningstar policies and philosophies and thereby contribute strongly to P&C policy formation, review, and circulation initiatives.

Morningstar is seeking a business partner on our People & Culture team. In this role, we are seeking a passionate, eager to learn, highly self-motivated and humble individual - whose role shall cover:
Responsibilities:

  • End to end ownership of Business Partner Office hours - conducting and tracking effectiveness
  • Work closely with rest of the BP team to collate BP dashboard - monthly / quarterly and create content for BP programs - LEAD, GPTW as an example
  • Conduct HR interviews for entry level candidates
  • Work closely with local P&C domains and BP team to successfully run various P&C programs / initiatives
  • Develop closer understanding of people processes and how various P&C domains operate
  • Develop trusted business relationships with business leaders / managers / employees on the floor
  • Shadow the senior BPs in -
    • Employee connects
    • Other P&C programs such as talent reviews, learning programs etc.
    • Assist in tracking performance management
    • Pulse / pyscho safety initiatives
    • DEI - help senior BPs further support business in driving DEI goals
  • Assist in talent bundle audits / WD audit and other audits from time to time
  • Conduct exit interviews up to a certain level and analyse the results
  • Play the role of facilitator for all P&C related processes / programs - compensation process, CBA/CBP/IA, TR etc
  • Handle employee issues from business teams
  • Initially assist and later - plan and execute end to end - employee skip sessions
  • Provide insight and suggestions to People & Culture teams for continuous improvement


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioural science (OD, HR Management, and Psychology) or MBA with appropriate experience preferred
  • 6-8 years' work experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to plan, design and implement Morningstar people programs
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and work with leaders on various initiatives
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and planning skill
  • Ability to collaborate cross-culturally with diverse individuals and teams
  • Mature, passion for dealing with people and a great team player
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and complexity to provide simple, expedient, and pragmatic solutions
