As our Business Operations Systems Administrator, you'll oversee the software systems that power reservations, registrations, point-of-sale operations, facility access, payment processing, and other essential business functions.

In this role, you will...

Functional Systems Administrator

  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for registration and reservation software (e.g., RecTrac, WebTrac, ResNexus), supporting reservations, registrations, facility rentals, and point-of-sale transactions.

  • Oversee system configuration, fee structures, inventory, facilities, activities, user permissions, and online registration settings.

  • Coordinate system upgrades, testing, enhancements, and vendor-supported fixes while minimizing disruption to staff and customers.

  • Conduct routine audits to ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance with County policies and operational standards.

  • Establish and maintain standards for system configuration, data entry, naming conventions, and operational procedures to enhance usability, accessibility, and performance.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation for assigned business systems to ensure consistency, continuity, and compliance.

  • Analyze business processes and implement system improvements that enhance efficiency, improve customer experience, and support operational goals.

  • Monitor, prioritize, and resolve system issues/service requests using the Help Ticket tracking system.

  • Serve as the liaison between business users, Information Technology, and software vendors to coordinate issue resolution, system enhancements, and operational support.

  • Function as the primary PRNR point of contact for the door access control system (e.g., CCURE), by coordinating access requests, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless access to park facilities.

  • Serve as the departmental liaison for the Payment Processing Platform, supporting payment processing, transaction troubleshooting, and vendor support.

  • Act as the primary administrator for the athletic field lighting systems (e.g., SkyLogix, Musco).

  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and system enhancements that support departmental objectives.

  • Coordinate with Information Technology, Finance, Outreach, Operations, and other business units to support system enhancements, issue resolution, and operational initiatives.

Business Systems Administration and Operations

  • Comply with policies, procedures, and guidelines related to business operations and financial transactions. 

  • Develop and deliver training programs, reference materials, and ongoing support to promote effective system utilization by staff.

  • Prepare and analyze benchmarking data relevant to operations, financial practices, and business practices.

  • Develop various financial, administrative, and statistical reports supporting business operations, process improvements, and informed decision-making.

  • Monitor operational performance metrics, analyze trends, and recommend process and system improvements that support departmental goals.

  • Stay current on industry trends, software enhancements, and best practices related to parks and recreation business systems.

  • Monitor business operations to ensure compliance with County policies, financial controls, security standards, and applicable regulations.

  • Manage proactive assessments of fraud awareness, prevention, detection, and risk mitigation activities in the area of responsibility; oversee financial, compliance, operational, and performance audits; review audit findings and ensure appropriate controls are established and implemented.

  • Comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.

  • Serve in a support role for division operational needs.

About the Schedule

Work Hours:

  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

  • Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 08:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.

  • As a reminder, all county employees are considered essential and must be prepared to protect and support the community and its citizens. Each employee, without exception, will have a duty assignment and be required to work during a disaster or declared emergency.

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Parks and Recreation, Industrial/Engineering Technology, or job-related field -AND- two (2) years job-related experience.

  • -OR- Six (6) years professional job-related experience can be substituted at management discretion for the required education.

  • -OR- Related professional program/project management may substitute for the required education at management discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous parks and recreation system administration experience

  • Previous supervisor/management experience

  • Certified or ability to obtain certification as a “Certified Parks and Recreation Professional” through National Parks and Recreation Association 

About Everything Else

Starting Pay: $64,812.80
