About the role:
At Upstox, we are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst who can translate business problems into data-driven insights and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets, conducting deep analyses, and presenting insights to stakeholders in a clear and compelling way
Key responsibilities:
•Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and root causes.
•Generate actionable insights and recommendations to support business strategy, product improvements, and operational efficiency.
•Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track key metrics and KPIs.
•Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Operations, Marketing) to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
•Conduct deep-dive analyses on customer behavior, funnel metrics, and business performance.
•Support A/B testing, experiment design, and post-experiment analysis.
•Present findings to leadership and drive alignment on next step
Skills and Requirements:
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
•3–7 years of experience in business analytics, strategy, consulting, product analytics, or a similar role.
•Strong analytical thinking with the ability to break down problems and derive insights.
•Proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience with Python/R is a plus.
•Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).
•Strong communication and storytelling skills for presenting insights.
•Ability to work with ambiguity and solve structured/unstructured problems.
