Overview
This team member will be responsible for providing business analysis within the life insurance/reinsurance domain for a portfolio of RGA's innovative client facing digital and data solutions, including but not limiting to digital underwriting, claims, data aggregation and risk scoring solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the business analysis activities to elicit, analyze, and document clear and concise business requirements for new features and enhancements for our digital client facing solutions and data solutions
- Collaborate on a regular basis with the product owners, clients, local office business experts and technology teams
- Understand the business context and support the product owners to prioritize and maintain a backlog of prioritized features
- Clarify business requirements for the IT delivery teams and provide context as needed during the IT build and testing process. Ensure alignment of expectations on scope, timelines and deliverables between client-facing teams and delivery teams
- Develop and execute user acceptance test plans and review the tests results and accept changes delivered by IT to ensure they meet business needs and client expectations
- Own and maintain regression test suite ensuring adequate test coverage along with expected outcomes as per business expectations. Lead regression testing for production releases and share findings on any issues identified with recommendations to resolve them
- Document features, business outcomes for internal management and marketing purposes and training material for client side users
- Provide training to client users where applicable and participate in the client support activities
- As a functional subject matter expert, provides oversight and direction to the technology support teams during the resolution of production issues and key issues during build/development
- Participate in the testing and evaluation of third-party digital capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, medical or other relevant discipline(s)
- Minimum 7 years' experience in business analysis and testing of digital solutions used in the life and health insurance value chain - underwriting, claims or distributions functions
- PMI-PBA is required, and CSPO, PMP/Prince2/Scrum Master/SAFe certifications is preferred
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail: able to clearly link results to business and operational performance drivers; able to generate alternatives and drive positive changes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate technical and business concepts to diverse audiences
- Functional knowledge of life insurance business processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, and Agile software development lifecycle, working knowledge of cloud, latest tech and AI innovations in the insurance industry
- Ability to work in ambiguous environment, quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and deliver desired results
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps) and testing tools
- Ability to manage and build strong relationships with global, regional and remote teams across multiple geographies and time zones
- Strong stakeholder identification and management skills; ability to work effectively across functional areas and build relationships with all levels of personnel, customers, suppliers, consultants - both internally and externally
- Proficiency in one or more Asian languages is preferred
- Familiarity with user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) principles is preferred
