About the Role:
As a Business Analyst Lead, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of our Plasma Derived Therapies Data & Digital Products through structured planning, prioritization, and design. Leading a team of business analysts, you'll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive PI (Program Increment) planning, develop and refine product roadmaps, develop business value metrics, manage backlog prioritization, and translate business needs into clear, actionable functional specifications.
You'll be a key contributor in aligning technology solutions with the strategic objectives of the PDT business and Quality, ensuring that all initiatives are implemented to deliver intended business value and adhere to quality SOPs and expectations. You are a detailed oriented problem solver who bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You are key to translating business requirements into technical requirements for developers. This position will work closely with PDT Delivery Leads, Product Owners, Quality stakeholders, and Development teams across India and globally as part of the PDT DD&T team, reporting to the PDT ICC Functional Delivery Lead for strategic alignment.
How You Will Contribute:

  • Program Increment (PI) Planning: Facilitate PI planning sessions by gathering business requirements, defining objectives, and aligning goals with strategic priorities. Engage with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of dependencies, risks, and resource needs.
  • Roadmap Creation and Refinement: Collaborate with product and technical teams to define and evolve product roadmaps. Ensure roadmaps are aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Value Realization Metric: Collaborate with business stakeholders in translating the intended functional capabilities into value realization metric.
  • Process Improvement and Best Practices: Implement best practices for requirement gathering, discovery and documentation. Drive a culture of innovation within the BA team by exploring and recommending technology-enabled solutions that enhance Takeda's product offerings and improve user experience.


  • Resource & Capacity Planning: Collaborate with technical and QA Managers to plan capacity and allocate resources following feature estimation ensuring alignment with product roadmap and project timelines
  • Backlog Prioritization: Lead backlog prioritization efforts by analyzing business value, regulatory impact, and risk factors. Ensure prioritization reflects strategic objectives and optimally allocates resources for maximum impact.
  • Functional Specifications Design: Develop and maintain comprehensive functional specifications for all PDT products, ensuring clarity and alignment with business requirements, user needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Requirements Analysis and Documentation: Conduct thorough requirements analysis, documenting user stories, use cases, and process flows. Work with cross-functional teams to clarify and refine requirements, providing actionable insights to drive product development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Foster proactive and transparent communication with stakeholders across business and technical teams. Maintain attention to detail in problem-solving and provide consistent updates on progress, risks, and opportunities.
  • Quality and Compliance Oversight: Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to regulatory compliance requirements, including data privacy and GxP standards where applicable. Support verification, validation and UAT to ensure comprehensive testing coverage for functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Lead, mentor, and guide the business analysis team, driving professional growth, knowledge sharing, and alignment with best practices. Set development goals, identify skill gaps and create development plan, facilitate training and other initiatives to enhance team capabilities.


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in business analysis, including leadership experience in life sciences or healthcare, with exposure to plasma-derived therapies or data-driven healthcare products.
  • "Product mindset" essential to drive overall product value, empathise with user needs, and assess business impact to ensure the developed features align with larger product vision
  • Demonstrated experience in PI planning, roadmap creation, and backlog prioritization, particularly within Agile or SAFe environments.
  • Strong expertise in translating business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications and managing end-to-end requirements analysis.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including GxP, HIPAA, and data privacy standards.
  • Proficiency with business analysis and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint).
  • Author or review computer system validation documentation - such as user requirements, functional requirements, validation plans, IQ/OQ/PQ documentation, risk assessments, test scripts, deviations, validation summary reports and system use documentation.
  • Proficiency with quality validation systems and tools - ValGenesis and automated testing, Veeva Vault product suite is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage complex initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience fostering cross-functional collaboration.


Preferred Requirements:
Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) in business, engineering, or a related field. Experience in data analytics platforms or data science solutions. Familiarity with tools for functional specification design, such as Visio or Lucidchart. Certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Agile frameworks.
