Job Purpose
Landmark Group is seeking an experienced SME for BOARD Planning Platform to join the Category Management function within Landmark Digital. This role is pivotal in leading the transformation from a legacy platform to a modern, multi-vertical planning platform, aimed at enhancing efficiency and agility across the various businesses of the Group. The SME will ensure the successful implementation of both functional and technical aspects of BOARD . This position reports directly to the Senior Engineering Manager in the Planning function of Landmark Digital.
Job Description
Serve as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for BOARD planning platform, providing in-depth knowledge of its architecture, configuration, related tools and technologies, and best practices
Assist in defining the transformation roadmap by offering insights into platform capabilities and limitations
Adapt and quickly understand current Planning ecosystem
Drive the transformation from Landmark, focusing on completeness, quality and timely delivery
Act as the key liaison between the implementation partner and internal teams of Landmark, ensuring business requirements (functional and technical) are met through the platform transition
Collaborate closely with Landmark tech teams to design a phasing plan, ensuring seamless working model across various phases during the transformation
Validate technical aspects of platform implementation with security, data availability, reporting and dashboards, data integrity and related KPIs
Facilitate communication between engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and timely progress
Identify potential challenges or risks during migration and proactively come up with mitigation strategies
Work with cross-functional teams, product owners, implementation partners and change management teams to translate defined processes to BOARD platform
Advise on the optimal use of BOARD platform to achieve operational efficiency, scalability, and flexibility
Provide technical leadership specific to the platform and guidance to the engineering team throughout the migration process
Identify opportunities for process improvements in current workflows and business practices, leveraging the capabilities of BOARD platform.
Perform sanity tests on end configured product
Promote best practices in platform usage, such as data management, security, and performance optimization
Mentor team members and provide ongoing technical training as required
Review documentation to ensure completeness throughout the transformation process, including system architecture, process flows, and user guides
Support the project manager with regular status updates and reports, including milestones, risks, and issue resolution
Offer hands-on support in complex technical tasks like system configuration, data migration, integration, and testing
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Job Experience
Proven experience (10+ years) working with BOARD Planning platform and technology transformations
Strong understanding of SaaS concept
Proven history of leading successful Planning transformations
Expertise in consuming data from different sources and integrating with planning platform by leveraging right tools
Should have knowledge of reports and dashboards
High-level understanding of Data science models & Analytics related to Planning
Experience on atleast one of the cloud platforms – Azure, AWS and GCP
Knowledge of relevant retail technologies (e.g., ERP, PLM, inventory management, etc.)
Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders
Experience in leading large-scale technology transformations
Strong technical expertise in system architecture, data migration, and integrations
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee potential challenges and proactively offer solutions
Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Comfortable with presenting in wider forums
Advanced Certification in relevant technologies or platforms is preferred
