Job DescriptionWe're looking for a detail-oriented and innovative BIM Specialist to join our dynamic team in Mumbai, India. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in driving Building Information Modeling initiatives across our projects, collaborating with design, construction, and project management teams to deliver exceptional results. As a BIM Specialist, you'll be responsible for coordinating BIM activities, maintaining model quality, and ensuring seamless integration of BIM processes throughout the project lifecycle. - Coordinate and manage BIM activities across project teams, including coordinate systems, standard templates, clash detection, and design reviews to ensure consistency and compliance
- Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project BIM strategies in alignment with client requirements and industry standards
- Provide comprehensive BIM production support to project teams, including model federation, interference management, and quality assurance of 3D/2D deliverables
- Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) platform, ensuring proper organization, accessibility, and version control of all BIM models and related documentation
- Create and implement standardized processes for model-based design quantity take-offs and construction progress tracking and reporting
- Perform model coordination reviews and support design and construction coordination meetings, managing issue logs and action items
- Develop and maintain BIM standards, templates, Level of Detail (LOD) specifications, and classification systems for project consistency
- Collaborate with design consultants, engineering firms, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to BIM workflows and information requirements
- Generate 4D simulations integrating BIM models with project schedules to visualize construction sequences and optimize planning
- Ensure project compliance with information requirements and industry-wide standards, including ISO 19650
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM workflows and processes
- Provide technical support and guidance to project team members on BIM tools, processes, and best practices
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 3-5 years of professional experience in BIM coordination, CAD management, or related roles
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and 2D documentation
- Hands-on experience with Navisworks for model coordination, clash detection, and visualization
- Strong knowledge of BIM-enabled quantity take-off and estimating tools (such as Assemble, CostX, or similar platforms)
- Demonstrated experience with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms, including Autodesk BIM 360 or ACC
- Solid understanding of design, estimation, and construction workflows
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain BIM concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in model quality assurance
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in team environments and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Knowledge of BIM standards, Level of Detail (LOD) specifications, and industry best practices
- Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and information management requirements
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience developing BIM templates, standards, and classification systems on large-scale projects
- Proficiency in creating Dynamo scripts for process automation
- Knowledge of programming languages or scripting capabilities
- Experience with visualization software and rendering tools
- Certification in BIM coordination or related professional credentials
- Background in integrated project delivery (IPD) environments
- Experience with 4D scheduling and construction simulation
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Solid understanding of design, estimation, and construction workflows
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain BIM concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in model quality assurance
