About the Role

Rula is seeking a Billing Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Financial Operations (RCM) Manager, this role will oversee the onshore billing team, manage an offshore billing vendor, and ensure seamless billing processes and systems. This individual will be responsible for the execution of billing and collections operations and spearheading continuous process improvement in end to end revenue cycle management alongside cross-functional teams.

This role requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, strategic thinking and analytical work, experience in healthcare payer operations, and comfort leading direct reports in dynamic, fast-paced environments with evolving priorities. The right candidate will have experience in collaborative and problem-solving environments, bringing a bias to action in managing complex processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in revenue cycle and/or strategy consulting, leading end-to-end transformation (process, technology, and people), and managing offshore/onshore teams

  • Demonstrated knowledge of revenue cycle management, with a focus on healthcare claims billing, denial resolution, and managing insurance and patient accounts receivable (AR) 

  • Expertise building processes and utilizing tools to drive optimization and efficiency

  • Skillfulness in applying structure, cross-functional partnership, prioritization, and effective communication to solve complex problems across the organization 

  • Proficiency in leveraging data through modeling (Google Sheets/Excel) and creating simple data visualizations to track performance and guide business decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a startup environment

  • Expertise with using analytical tools such as Looker and SQL to inform decision making 

  • Technical savviness and fluency with tools such as Google Suite, Zendesk, Salesforce, EHRs, or similar platforms
