The QA Engineer will oversee quality control in e-commerce projects, executing manual and automated tests, validating integrations, and ensuring product stability while collaborating with developers and stakeholders.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven QA Engineer to support our global e-commerce initiatives. This role requires expertise in JIRA, agile methodologies, and the ability to coordinate between business stakeholders and software development teams executing two-week sprints. The ideal candidate will be able to define and enforce testing strategies that lead to predictable and successful web development initiatives that continually improve our global e-commerce business.
What You’ll Do:
- Take ownership of quality control and stability of all processes and environments while testing active development tickets and company projects or initiatives.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation based on user stories and technical specs.
- Execute manual testing for functional, regression, integration, and cross-browser/device coverage.
- Create and maintain automated testing for all active functionalities and regression testing.
- Validate end-to-end data flows across OMS, ERP (NAV), WMS, and integration middleware, payment flows (e.g., Braintree, PayPal), and third-party services.
- Test API integrations, message queues, and event-driven workflows between systems
- Leverage AI tools (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate test script development, log analysis, and debugging
- Build and maintain automated API test suites using tools like Postman or pyTest.
- Find, track and document bugs in Jira, and collaborate closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Proactively identify risks and edge cases in the QA process, making recommendations to improve product stability.
- Attend agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute QA insights.
- Support internal quality processes and help define best practices for e-commerce workflows.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of QA experience, with at least 2+ years focused on e-commerce testing.
- Familiarity with e-commerce order to fulfillment end-to-end processes.
- Strong understanding of web application testing concepts including HTTP, REST, cookies, session handling, etc.
- Ability to create and maintain automated testing tools.
- Experience validating integrations with payment gateways, shipping providers, analytics tools, and PIMs.
- Proficiency with AI coding assistants for test development and troubleshooting
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, pyTest, or similar)
- SQL proficiency for validating data across multiple systems
- Familiarity with message queues or event-driven architectures (Azure Service Bus, Anypoint MQ, Kafka, or similar)
- Experience testing integrations between OMS/ERP/WMS systems preferred
- Comfortable working across desktop and mobile, using browser dev tools and debugging tools effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset—able to work closely with developers and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Jira, test case management tools, and agile development practices.
