About the job

Thales Cyber Security Products (CSP) is seeking an experienced Area Vice President, India (AVP) to join the Global Field Sales Team. Thales is a pioneer and leader of a new category of business security solutions for critical applications and high-value data in the data center. Thousands of the worlds leading businesses, government organisations, and service providers rely onThales solutions to protect against data breaches, meet compliance mandates, and manage data risk.
The AVP will be responsible for managing a distributed team selling Thales Data and Application Security Solutions and Services, and will be required to interact with existing customers or prospects within the territory. This is both manager and a sales coach role, whereby the AVP will apply a broad knowledge of the organization's services, products, and marketing techniques to develop large opportunities and close sales. This highly visible and impactful role will work in conjunction with a strong sales team and partners to successfully develop and service all customers or prospects within their respective geography/territory.
Responsibilities:

·      Manage the Thales CSP sales team in India region.

·      Drive opportunities at the strategic and tactical level.

·      Work with sales teams in territory planning.

·      Keeps informed on new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers, through successful completion of Thales CSP Sales Training and self-study.

·      Stays informed of customer business opportunities, current conditions, future prospects, active measurements, and competitive issues. Regularly briefs Thales CSP management on status, prospects, and current needs of top customers.

·      Responsible for securing new business, additional orders, and maintenance renewal orders for all license and professional services revenue.

·      Participates in varied sales activities requiring perseverance, preparation, ingenuity, and responsibility.

·      Display strong time management skills.

·      Understand and manage all phases of the sales cycle.

·      Accurately forecasts all territory business utilising Salesforce.com.

Qualifications:
 

·      Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business related field.

·      Dynamic, high energy sales professional and leader with strong experience in direct sales, high-level, executive selling of long-cycle products—ideally within Security Technology–Web Application, Database Security.

·      Experience selling enterprise level solutions in the security and compliance markets.

·      Demonstrated success in achievement or over-achievement of assigned revenue quota---quarterly and annually.

·      Experience with Salesforce.com.

·      Excellent communication skills -- -written and verbal.
