- Strong knowledge of reconciliation and accounting. Key contact in FinOps team for all life projects. Complete understanding of all projects, timelines, documentation, understanding of risks and controls and delivery.
- Responsible for complete transition of work and then managing the same as BAU.
- Accountable for providing a quality service or product to customers and stakeholders, using skills/experience built through significant practical experience or training
- Works within established frameworks and procedures, with the freedom to interpret them to solve a range of problems
- Delivers outputs that are clearly defined, using discretion over how to achieve them
- Makes suggestions for improvements to the work of the team, based on previous experience and knowledge of similar situations
- To develop and share expert knowledge of M&G Group operational banking and processes, ensuring regulatory compliance
- To help facilitate necessary improvements and developments to support continuous change or enhancements required to improve efficiency and controls, and reduce risk
- Relationship development across Finance and the wider business
- To demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY:
Part/ Qualified accountant specialisation in Banking ND Reconciliation activities
- Have good understanding of insurance products
- Have experience in a financial background, preferably Investment Manager experience
- Have subject matter expert knowledge of operational banking and cashflow models
- Have experience of liquidity management, reporting and foreign exchange management
- Have a track record of successful management of multiple external relationships
- Have experience of working with external parties to drive change (including behaviour change)
- Have the ability and desire to build a working knowledge of areas outside subject matter expertise
- Have an ability to think dynamically and react appropriately to changing demands
