Key Responsibility: -
- Support planning, design, execution, and commissioning of WWTP expansion projects, process upgrades, capacity enhancement, and new technology integration. Coordinate with engineering consultants, OEMs, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, quality, statutory compliance, and seamless integration with existing operations. Drive technical evaluations, budgeting, scheduling, risk assessments, and change management to ensure reliable and future‑ready plant performance ·
- Operations & Compliance: Own daily operation of pre‑treatment, process control, blower room, Odour Control Unit (OCU), UASB, bioreactor, secondary clarification, aerobic sludge tank, UF/RO, and sludge handling to meet discharge/reuse standards.
- Regulatory: Ensure 100% compliance with MPCB/CPCB norms, consent, online reporting, manifests for sludge/chemicals, and timely renewals of consents/authorisations.
- Safety & Environment: Enforce LOTO, confined‑space entry, chemical handling, PPE, emergency response plans; conduct safety talks and incident investigations.
- Asset & Maintenance: Drive preventive/predictive maintenance for pumps, blowers, diffusers, clarifiers, membranes, instruments; manage spares and vendor service contracts.
- SCADA & Instrumentation: Ensure accuracy of PLC/SCADA tags, alarms, historian trends; calibrate pH/DO/ORP/flow meters and lab instruments.
- Cost & Efficiency: Optimise chemical dosing, energy (kWh/m3), air supply, membrane cleaning cycles, sludge dewatering; manage budget and inventory.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with site operations, EHS, utilities, OEMs, and regulators; conduct audits and present performance dashboards. Qualifications & Experience\
Operational Requirement:
- General shift with on‑call availability across 24×7 for operations; weekend/holiday coverage as required.
- This role is in general shift, however considering the responsibilities of the role, incumbent required to be available for any emergency at the location which requires immediate attention from this role.
- Coordinate with User manager - EO, Project managers, shift engineers/operators across three shifts to ensure continuity.
Education:
- Post‑Graduate degree in Environmental / Chemical / structural / Mechanical engineering with specialization in wastewater treatment.
Experience:
- 8-to-10-year Experience in Project work handling aligned to WWTP operations.
Key Skills:
- Process designing,
- Structure Analysis,
- Waste-water & waste handling.
- SCADA/PLC literacy and instrument calibration.
- Regulatory compliance and documentation (MPCB/CPCB).
- Leadership, vendor management.
- Data analysis and dashboarding (Excel).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Quality compliance.
- Plant availability & throughput: >95% availability
- Energy intensity: kWh/m³ and specific air demand vs baseline.
- Chemical consumption: kg/m³
- Sludge handling: % solids, moisture, disposal compliance and cost.
- Compliance: zero statutory violations; audit scores.

- Job Location - Patalganga MIDC, Near Rasayani Village, (Near Panvel, Navi Mumbai)
- Transport - Available from Kharghar Station and Panvel Station.
