Job Title: Associate Software Engineer

Impact & Contribution: Our Associate Software Engineer delivers competitive advantage by performing E2E Manual and Automation testing expertise with hands on in Python, Java, Selenium, Cucumber DBB Auto automation. This role is critical in ensuring CBA is effective in identifying events at every touch point in which a customer or prospect interacts with CBA. We achieve success by working with internal stakeholders to define and deliver engaging and relevant responses to those events through leads and customer contact.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- E2E Manual and Automation testing expertise with hands on in Python, Java, Selenium, Cucumber BDB automation. To be able to work for Platform Testing Team.
- Attend the Sprint planning meetings and participate in sizing the test effort required to execute the User stories/requests from the Business Product Owners & Delivery Lead.
- Analyze each story, contact Product Owner if needed and make sure that definition of done is clearly defined. Understanding the “Acceptance Criteria” and conducting a BDD walk-through with the IA/PO.
- Design Test Scenarios & Test Cases in IntelliJ utilizing BDD Framework which covers both functional / Automation aspects of validation.
- Able to handle test data setup and identify the risks & mitigation plans what can occur in Testing phase.
- Ability to debug the issues by querying in DB/validating API responses and running pega strategies.
Essential Skills:
- 2-4 years of experience in Strong Testing Standards – Manual & in utilization of BDD Framework and debugging skills in DB/API and Pega.
- Solid experience in Programming language such as Python / Java and Selenium, Cucumber/ Behaviour Driven Data scenarios development and validation; DB Testing; Git; Functional testing, API Testing and Regression testing, CI/CD. Git, SQL.
- Good at demonstration and presentation skills with an ability to effectively communicate, educate and positively influence business users, stakeholders & other technical leadership groups.
- Good to have scripting experience in Gherkin syntax and strong debugging skills for root cause analysis.
Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
