Business & Team: Institutional Banking Data Platform (IDP) is state-of-the-art cloud platform engineered to streamline data ingestion, transformation and data distribution workflows that underpin Regulatory Reporting, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Quants and Trader Surveillance.In your role as Software Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability of the platform, performing maintenance and support activities, and driving innovative process improvements that add significant business value.Impact & Contribution:Utilise advanced expertise and a broad range of concepts, technology and domain knowledge to develop and deliver world class software solutions to meet business needs.You will contribute to the financial well-being of our customers by ensuring that our team builds the best solutions possible using modern development practices that ensure both functional and non-functional needs are met.If you have a history of building a culture of empowerment and know what it takes to be a force multiplier within a large organisation then you’re the kind of person we are looking for.Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist with developing effective solutions using the technology stack, under the mentorship of a more senior engineer.
- Perform entry level engineering duties in solutions with the objective to learn.
- Build understanding of business and technical strategies.
- Perform coding and modifications to software systems.
- Learn and develop programming skills in different programming languages.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Participate in support and technical troubleshooting activity.
- Willingness to work toward becoming a data engineer / business analyst.
Essential Skills: Associate Software engineer with 3-5 years of experience with the following technical skills. They will be software engineers with automation testing (solution design, implementation, execution) tasks expected to fulfil their role.
- Overall 3-5 years of Industry Experience
- Primary Skills – Java/Python (Scripting), RESTful API, GitHub, SQL > Large data analysis skills
- UI Automation, Selenium/Playwright, Test Automation etc.
- Preferred – Knowledge on Market Data and Trading
- Ability to actively contribute to support and technical troubleshooting activities for our stakeholders.
- Contribute to the technical design for system enhancements.
- Strong communication and engagement skills – be responsible to create, own, engage and present test plans, test coverage and test results and seek sign off from our stakeholders.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
