Boeing Digital Services org is currently looking for Associate Software Engineer - iOS to join their team in Bengaluru, KA. As an Associate Software Engineer - iOS , you will be part of the Boeing Global Services, which develops software applications and products for that create direct value to its customers. We provide re-vamped work environments focused on delivering data-driven solutions at a rapidly increased pace over traditional development. Be a part of our

The ideal candidate with have over 4 years of experience in mobile application development and cloud technologies, preferably Azure, with a background in the aviation industry. They will lead the design and development of innovative solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define architecture, create robust software designs documentations, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products. Strong leadership skills are essential for effectively working with a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration with various stakeholders. A strong sense of ownership, safety, and quality in their work is required.
Position Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial software product designs while developing, documenting, and maintaining software components, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs.
• Work with senior engineers to understand design constraints and implement solutions aligned with system architecture.
• Research and implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development.
• Develop, establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics to align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.
• Leads the collaboration with the penetration testing team to ensure thorough security assessments of the application is performed and address any vulnerabilities
• Assist in evaluating implementation approaches and technical solutions.
• Implement strategies to optimize the product implementation and enhance overall efficiency, stability and availability.
• Evaluates products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments.
• Drafts data and information management products and service standards.
• Understand the impact of implementation decisions on application performance and maintainability.
• Contribute to implementation of application features and improvements following established architecture and coding standards.
• Collaborate with team members and support implementation tasks across the iOS codebase.
• Collaborate with international teams, promoting knowledge sharing and competency development.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology ( Including Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical , Mechanical, Information Technology ), Computer Science or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
• Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI with a deep understanding of iOS frameworks and APIs.
• Experience developing mobile applications and integrating with backend or cloud services.
• Experience with architectural patterns such as MVC, MVVM, or VIPER.
• Strong understanding of mobile application design principles and user experience best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Background or experience in the aviation domain or other related field
• Familiarity with AI/ML is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, full-stack development, microservice patterns, API integration, programming languages
• Experience in developing applications for airline operations, specifically for EFB administrators and flight crews, catering to both administrators and end users.
• Cloud certification (preferably Azure)
• Typical Education & Experience
• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering and typically 4-8 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

• Education/experience typically acquired through a bachelor's in engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Aerospace) and typically 5 to 8 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. master's in engineering + 4 years' related work experience).
