Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Creation, maintenance and updating of financial models of coverage companies
- Creation and maintenance of industry databases in semiconductors, software and technology hardware.
- Writing research draft reports for review and edits by senior analyst
- Writing primers in technical topics related to the coverage
- Scouting for interesting academic research, blogs and industry publications that can add value to the research product
- Exploring new areas of development in technology, especially in fields linked to AI
- Answering client requests for data related to companies under coverage or industry
- Bespoke analysis based on client requests
- Answering questions from CLSA/CITIC sales and trading teams
- Master’s (preferred)/Bachelor’s (minimum) degree or above in engineering/business disciplines
- No minimum work experience needed.
- Extensive command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Proficiency in written articulation.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, alongside the ability to multi-task
- Attention to details is a must for a career in equity research
- Excellent command of / fluent in both spoken and written English
- Open to feedback, ability to handle a steep learning curve, demanding schedules and deadlines
