Thomson Reuters (SurePrep) is looking for a talented Associate Product Manager to join our team. As part of the core product management group, you will be responsible for defining and driving product roadmap across multiple geographies in the area of Income Tax domain. This role requires strong analytical ability, understanding of software development lifecycle and proven communication skills. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of the business requirements and customer needs along with technical knowledge on how these can be translated into IT solutions.
About The Role:


• Lead the entire Product Development Life Cycle including market research, user acceptance testing, requirements analysis, design & implementation, testing etc.
• Work closely with the cross functional teams like Engineering, UX Designers etc., to ensure smooth execution of product releases.
• Conduct competitor analysis, benchmark studies and market research to identify areas where we need to innovate or improve existing products/services.
• Identify opportunities within existing products/services which could lead to new revenue streams.
• Define and drive product roadmap by working closely with internal stakeholders such as sales, marketing etc.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data driven decision making process using metrics/KPIs etc..
• Stay updated on latest trends/technologies related to software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum), tools & technologies used in product development cycle.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of projects by coordinating between various departments like Sales, Technical Support, Customer Service etc..
• Assess risks associated with any changes made during project life cycle and propose mitigation strategies if needed.
• Develop relationships with external partners / vendors who are critical to product success.

About You:


• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/MBA preferred but not required.
• Experience in software product management for at least 2 years with focus on web applications.
• Knowledge of tax domain is desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical abilities coupled with problem solving mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to multitask effectively while meeting deadlines under pressure situations.
• Good computer literacy – proficient in MS Office suite especially Excel & PowerPoint.
• Working experience in Agile methodology preferred but not mandatory.
• Self motivated individual who can work independently yet collaboratively within a team environment.
